In the collages and paintings of Inez de Brauw (1989) you can disappear into fantasy interiors with staggered perspectives. She puts it together from images from interior design magazines and the IKEA catalogue, among other things. It is easy to get entangled in these forests of perspectives, lines, abstractions, patterns and furniture, but doubts also set in. Are these perfectly assembled interiors or is the wealth more of a make-believe world?
