Conversation with DANIELE CAPRA and the artist  GIOVANNI MORBIN

Artericambi is pleased to present Something Else, a catalogue created on the occasion of Giovanni Morbin‘s solo show at the MMSU Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka. Daniele Capra, curator of the exhibition and the publication, and Morbin himself will discuss the work of the artist from Vicenza.

The book, previewed at Artissima, collects the project conceived for the Croatian city as well as a wide selection of works of a political nature. In particular, the Rijeka project analyzes the permanence of fascism and its transformation from a political category to an anthropological trend, which takes shape in the individual ways of acting and in the management of power – political, economic, media – that characterizes our time.

Something Else was also an opportunity to analyze how for Morbin sculpture is the effect of a behavioral and gestural analysis, with respect to which the intimate heaviness of the material is not concealed.

The publication contains essays by Daniele Capra, Alessandro Castiglioni, Eva Fabbris, Lidia Sanvito, Slaven Tolj and conversations with Cesare Pietroiusti and Giovanni Morbin.
