PERFORMANCE TIME: Sabato, 20 October 2012 – h 9.00 am – Piazza Santa Toscana, Verona
From a project by Artericambi and the Galleria dello Scudo in collaboration with the Associazione Panificatori di Verona e Provincia, the artist will make a batch of bread with the shape of his face. The bread will be distributed free to citizens on condition that each recipient eats the artist’s face.

Nowadays a month is six weeks, nobody knows?
Unfortunately, those who do not even know the number five know this.
A baker and his loaves, the same ones he sells every day.
That day those loaves will have the shape of heads, heads seen from the front and the face will be my face.
The baskets on the wall overlooking the entrance are filled with bread, full of heads that are lying down until someone picks them up and eats them … that day, that bread, in the unusual form, is sold but without money in return.
The light spending of unspent money then requires us to make an uncomfortable gesture which is what bites into a face, which is what raises the pocket.”

By involving 11 Veronese bakeries, the artist will create a batch of bread with the shape of his face. On Wednesday 17 October at 11.00 a press conference will be held in the presence of the artist and the organizers at the Tezza bakery in Via Colonnello Fincato 142. The bread will be distributed by Giovanni Morbin on Saturday 20 October from 9.00 in Piazza Santa Toscana, Verona.
