Artericambi Gallery is excited to announce the opening of Real Enough, the fourth solo exhibition by Carles Congost, which will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 4 PM at its space in Via Leida 6/A in Verona.

In this new exhibition, Carles Congost continues his exploration of the intersection between pop music, youth culture, and visual experimentation. The artist, known for his approach that blends irony with a deep reflection on the contemporary, uses video, photography, sculpture, and installation to reconstruct fragments of a collective memory, oscillating between nostalgia and critical reflection.

At the heart of the exhibition will be the video Abans de la casa / Un biopic inestable a través del sonido Sabadell (2015), where the artist analyzes the phenomenon of Catalan italodisco, while the sculpture Noi de poble (Smalltown Boy) (2024) pays tribute to Jimmy Somerville, whose musical career and activism marked a generation.

The exhibition will also feature a selection of works reflecting on the power of musical hits as true cultural archives. The Catalan artist investigates how these songs can define collective identity, becoming symbols for entire generations. His works invite the viewer to explore the relationship between sound and image, stimulating a reflection on our cultural roots and how music shapes our perception of the world.
