The Artericambi gallery is pleased to present “Recent works“, the first solo exhibition in Italy by the New York artist Blair Thurman.

Thurman’s recent artistic research is characterized by the model of ellipsoidal and curvilinear layouts according to a degree of purification that considers the automobile circuits (especially in the simplified forms of the toy ones: oval and “eight” which is also the “circular idea of Infinity “).

Whether it is wall painting or shaped paintings, the chromatic lighting of his works is reflected in the use of neon, modeled in sinuous shapes that seem to draw themselves in space to evoke drawings, writings, signs, in a hybrid between culture mass – that of almost minimal popism – and design not functional. Thurman’s is therefore a principle of abstract, mental and manual synthesis, associated with both dynamism and light.
