The exhibition is curated by Sergio Breviario, Daniele Salvalai, and Giuseppe Vigolo, professors in the Visual Arts Department of the Academy, coordinated by Prof. Katia Brugnolo.
Galleria Artericambi is pleased to announce its participation in First Step 11, a project that, since 2008, has been dedicated to supporting the integration of students and alumni from the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona into the art world and fostering their professional growth. Through workshops, conferences, and widespread exhibitions, this initiative creates opportunities for young talents to engage in dialogue with leading art galleries, institutions, and exhibition spaces in Verona and neighboring cities.
The event will open on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 4:00 PM, with two solo exhibitions hosted in the gallery: Letizia Frescura’s “Ne/at Origin” and Selene Tenca’s “The Selfishness of Water”. The two young artists will present works resulting from their most recent artistic research, utilizing various media, including video, installations, and digital prints.
In “The Selfishness of Water“, Selene Tenca reflects on her personal experiences with human relationships, exploring their constant movement, divergence, and remnants. The materials chosen by the artist to ensure the aesthetic coherence of her works primarily belong to the industrial world and the field of surgical medicine. Needles, liquids, submersible pumps, and minimalist steel structures are imbued with the artist’s poetics, transforming the interaction between the work and the audience into a shared experience of the sharp dynamics of human relationships.
